Another time the match in SF: Nadal vs. Djokovic

The winner will also be the winner of the tournament I think. IMO Rafa is the favourite at the moment, although they play on hardcourt. But he is in such a great form at the moment.

Does anyone know for sure if Nadal has the number one spot already or not?! lol Ive read reports saying that Nadal will be number one whether he wins this tournament or not and some reports saying that Nadal must win the tournament to be become number one. Even the ATP website is confusing, the headline is Nadal Certain to Become Number 1, and then the little bit underneath says, that he 'may' do it this week?! Nobody knows!! lol

As for the Cincy Masters, I would agree that Nadal is the favourite, but if Djokovic was to win, I personally would then make Murray favourite. My opinion is simply based on last weeks match between the two. I still think that It will be a Murray vs Nadal final, with Nadal yet again getting the best of the Brit

Ah right, so whatever happens. He will be number one, im assuming after Federer drops points for whatever. Well, i got my prediction right when I said that Nadal would be Number 1 by the Open, and he is. Congrats are in order I suppose lol

It was Matrix tennis from Murray the way he just seemed to have so much time to return Karlovic's serve and when he neutralised Karlovic's serve he was able to win easily enough.

Murray beat Djokovic last week in Toronto and is playing really well at the moment, so if the Serb went through to the final, I would personally favour Murray for the title.
I agree though that at the moment Nadal is the clear favourite.

Nadal lost so he won't be number one before 18 August

Nadal lost to Djokovic 1:6 5:7

Although the result seems quite clear, I think that lose doesn't mean too much to Nadal. He will be the new number 1. And he has already said during the tournament he feels tired after so many matches in the last weeks.

He was also suffering from blisters, so I don't think this loss will affect his confidence.

I dont think its possible for Nadal to suffer from a lack of confidence. Hes the Wimbledon and French Open Champion and hes soon to be the world number 1. If he's suffering from a lack of confidence then hes insane lol

Not surprised that he's suffering from blisters, considering the amount of matches he has played since the French Open and 3 changes of surface in a matter of two-three months.

i respect nadal(deserves right now) and all nadal fans, but i dont think willl keep No 1 for long.
for me federer is by far best player than nadal.nadal has improved a lot in his game, but is
naturally less talented from federer.i am not fan of them.i am speaking complete neutral.

I think a lot of credit has to go to Djokovic. He played incredibly in the first set and this is his fourth consecutive win against Nadal on hardcourt.

at the beginning of the season Nole ruled everything, but since Miami the main battle was between Nadal and Federer.
Now that Nadal has overtaken Federer, Djokovic suddenly comes back with this clear defeat against Nadal. But this doesn't mean much, it's "only" ( at this huge level we can say "only"! ) a masters tournament. Beijing and the US Open will show if Nadal can keep his run and what Djokovic and Federer are gonna say to this..

btw Nole lost the first set agains Murray in the tiebreak

Very impressive win by Murray who controlled large periods of the match and deserved the win. Djokovic wasn't at his best and for a lot of the match - especially in the first set - Murray was prepared to wait for the error or induce the error although in a lot of these rallies Murray was dictating the point.
The second set was more exciting as it had more drama and switches of momentum and Djokovic played some great tennis to save the match points, but Murray stayed focused and finally won the match in the tiebreak. After having had all these match points, it would have been really difficult for Murray if he'd had to play a third set but he didn't have to.
