Thanks Benji. Her serving stats are amazing! Especially 2nd serve stats, would really like to see the highlights, thanks in advance!

Was it down to Daniela's good delivery, or simply bad Boja? Was the serve any faster?

Happy birthday indeed, eddy. Nicely done, Daniela! If Jovanoski was bad/injury affected, well. ain't it about time Daniela faced someone who wasn't playing out of their minds? Hey, we know she can win a beauty contest! I'll take any win, especially one I know means a lot to her. Happy to see excellent serving stats, amazing 2nd serve numbers and twice as many forced errors. So, maybe now she won't get benched!

Let's Go, Daniela!

Sadly,it was because BoJo was that crap. Having said that, her delivery is much more smoother and more effective since a certain individual was given his marching orders. ;)

Well, this sucks. Good thing Daniela's match was only 1:25.

Apparently, Dani, who will fall to a depressing #75 Monday, has drawn Laura Robson in Doha. That'll be tough, but it would be an encouraging win. Having to now play a pressure-filled match tomorrow hardly helps, but she'd be in a great mood if it's the clinching point.

Let's Go, Daniela!

The Serbians are utterly classless the way they celebrated domis retirement. She was in so much pain. I didn't see it all but did the Serbs help in anyway?

As for Doha draw Robsons a pretty good draw for a first rounder. Even though im British its a no brainer for me. I'll be supporting Daniela all the way simply because Daniela needs the win more than Robson atm. Kirilenko 2nd round and Errani, id take that draw anyday. Unfortunately I think Daniela could lose to Robson though, us Brits are in great form atm..

Unfortunately Laura has the type of game that can really hurt Daniela-big lefty serve and booming groundstrokes. Kirilenko is in good form too. She is going to have to play very well to get through-then we can watch her decimate Errani on Eurosport. :)

Happy Birthday, eddy.

I didn't get to see the matches. It's a good win for Daniela even if Jovanovski didn't play that well and it'll be a boost to her confidence. Daniela beat who was in front of her and gave a good solid performance.

It's such unbelievably bad luck for Dominika that she had to retire just as she was about to win. Slovakia would have been completely in control of the the tie. Hopefully she can be fully fit for tomorrow because Slovakia will need her. I've got to believe that Daniela will beat Dolonc but if Dominika can't play or she's hindered by injury then it'll be a lot harder. Maybe she can do what Daniela did against Spain last year. Hopefully Slovakia get through this.

“The cramps started in her right calf muscle and although we gave her magnesium the pain soon spread to the rest of the body,” Slovakia’s team captain Matej Liptak told a press conference. “These things can happen and I feel really sorry for Dominika, but more importantly the first priority for us is that she recovers fully. We can’t say now whether she will be fit to play on Sunday, we will see what the scan says and then we will sit down and make a decision,” he added.

“I felt really comfortable on the court and having weathered the early storm, I got into my rhythm and played my game,” Hantuchova said after sealing the match in 1 hour 25 minutes. “I served really well and the game plan to keep Bojana on the back foot as much as possible worked to perfection most of the match so I am really pleased with my performance,” she added.

Fed Cup: Serbia - Slovakia 0:1
In the quarterfinals of the World Group Fed Cup Serbia - Nis in Slovakia after the opening singles 0-1 status. The first point gained Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia after win over Bojana Jovanovski 7:5, 6:2.

Slovak team duo fight against Jovanovski (39 WTA), the Serb entity in this meeting, started weaker. Hantuchova (58th WTA) immediately losing his first administration (0:2), but immediately broke súperkino and Brejk confirmed. In the state of 5:4 had our tennis player stiff fight on settlement reached by using third gamebalu. In the 5:5 condition developed three brejkbaly and not let the chance of hand. In its submission led 40:15, grueling yet reached consensus, but the third planting Hantuchova used. After playing sete Jovanovski worked less confidently, on the contrary, Slovak tennis player played with grace and paper conditions - according to the position in the ranking - rolled upside down. Gaming experience and qualities overshadowed Serb and 85 minutes per match won 7:5, 6:2.
Daniela Hantuchova: "I am very pleased with their performance. It was probably my second best performance this year, I better just played against an Italian Errani Sare tournament in Brisbane. Always very happy to play in the Fed Cup. There are completely different emotion than normal tournaments. Man fights for every ball, they play for their country. Even though the details of my home Jovanovski came out, I was calm on the court. I knew that if I will be able to impose its my game, I'll have the upper hand. Very well, I moved and I was able to push it in long exchanges from the baseline, which was very important. Jovanovski usually dictates the pace of the matches, but today for some exchanges nestíhala. During the match I helped service. I'm glad I made it in two sets. Grueling second act was frustrated at the end of the leave. On the game was not aware that should any harm. As for me, those health problems is really pretty, but when I'm already on the court, so I do it. Serbian fans were noisy, so no louder the better. I am very pleasantly surprised by the Slovak group, they were really heard. The whole time I am encouraged, for which I thank them. The roar of the fans is simply to team competitions. "
Bojana Jovanovski: "I did not play my best tennis. From Australian Open with laborovala I injured my back, instead of training, I went to therapy. After some heavy exchanges today I started to feel the pain and the condition of 5:5 in the first set, I have failed to keep up with the grueling experienced. Daniela won deservedly, well served and returnovala. Confirmed that the accident was not previously in the top ten of the world. "

"Dominika has gem before it got cramps, came to me on the bench and told me he needed a fast magnesium. Was a condition for 4:3 and 30:30. Probably had already felt the problem that was there already appeared in the past, I knew what was going on with her body. I was surprised, because even though the game was full Doloncovou long rallies, nothing to complain previously. Maybe if the problem came before, so deal with it on the bench could do something. Were lost his Five minutes later, it could be after the game. now most important is that the Domča okay. Hopefully it will be nothing serious. were, in my opinion, cramps and stress the importance of accompanying the Fed Cup and Davis Cup matches. Sama said that She felt nervous, but the team competition have their specifics. was to be such an emotional spasm," said Liptak.

Slovak captain on Saturday night did not want to speculate on whether Cibulkova resumes on Sunday. "Now I do not want to talk about it at all. Absolutely not know what is in the state. When it does not feel, do not push it to play. Do not want to happen again., If will feel better, we will consider it. The team have also two other girls and Magda Rybarikova Janka Cepelova that, if necessary, ready to play," said Liptak, whose whistling unpleasantly surprised fans when Serbian Slovak care unit.

"When something like this happens to hockey or football, but people nepískajú silent. Now all began to sing, rather should think about whether it's okay Domča. However I was very oblivious. Dominic It was about me., We knew that a big problem. gradually escalated pain began to radiate into the second leg, to be joined back pain. Dominika is simply unable to continue the match. "

You probably don't need me to tell you this, but should things go right and Daniela clinches things at 3-1, it will be the 3rd successive Fed Cup tie that she would have won the clinching match. One more feather in her cap, so we hope!

Let's Go, Daniela!

Urgh, Jovanovski scrapes through the opening set.

Not sure I agree putting Cepolova on over Rybarikova..this 3rd rubber is huge and Cepelova has little experience, gotta hope Cepelova can step up and win in 3.

So unfortunate yesterday, Domi was 4 points away from the win..

Looks like Daniela's going to have to carry the team again, which will probably affect how next week in Doha goes..(which is far more important, sigh..)

Wow, I take back what I said, what a win from Cepolova!

Now please Daniela win to seal the deal and get on first flight to Doha!

Set 1
1-0 2-0 2-1 3-1 4-1 5-1 5-2 5-3 6-3 Daniela wins the first set 6-3, hitting the ball wonderfully. Just a minor blip in the middle.

Set 2
1-0 1-1 2-1 Daniela chasing everything, it's so great to see, 2-2, 3-2 if Daniela can play like this next week she can do well,
4-2, 5-2, sublime play, I think Dolanc has hit about 5 winners the whole match to Daniela's 20! 6-2

Daniela d Dolonc 63 62 in 1hr 7 mins!

SLOVAKIA d SERBIA 3-1 YESSSSSS, guaranteed to be in World Group next year too :)

Best performance by Daniela since Pattaya 2012, why can't Daniela bring that game to the big proper tournaments?

Amazing play so controlled effortless, winners from everywhere, running so well so that fitness hurdler must be doing something right. Top 5 tennis right there!

Bring on Doha!
