I know this is basically a knockabout and there's the chance that Daniela let the "local" player win but it's just depressing that Daniela's constantly losing and some of the players that she's lost to recently are people she should beat pretty easily.

Daniela has so many points to defend over the next couple of months and it's going to be very difficult for her to defend her Brisbane points given how strong the field is there and she needs to defend them to get a seeding for the Australian Open. Still, Daniela's got so much talent that she has to start playing well again sometime and she hardly has any points to defend after February, so if she can put some runs together then she can go up the rankings again. One thing is that Daniela always seems to do better in odd years and next year is an odd year so hopefully the pattern holds.

I'll wait a day or two to weigh in on Daniela's dilemma. Right now, I want to thank her for all the things she does that do make us happy and proud to be her fans and wish her a Merry Christmas and a happy 2013. And I do the same for all of you, my Forum friends!
