Nice win Daniela although a bit nervy towards the end! 6-1 4-1 she was coasting but i guess the more time she spends on the clay the better at the moment!

Next up another and i think more talented russian rodina - gunna be tougher.

McHale destroyed Kleybanova 6-1 6-0, this opens up a nice path for Daniela. Although McHale is no joke, I saw her at lasy year's US Open and she's got a nice game. She's been playing pretty well this year too. Granted this was Kleybanova's first match on green clay, but still a surprising result.

It's a good win considering that Daniela didn't have too much time to acclimatise to the conditions. She dominated the first set but the second was a bit of a struggle. She was able to win the second without playing her best tennis (or with Kudryavtseva playing her best tennis) and her service stats weren't too good but Daniela was able to grind out the win.

Daniela's in the next round, she's had the chance to get used to the conditions and she can look forward to the rest of the tournament.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Daniela has got to get through to Saturday so I can watch her play. Last year I was there when she played Stosur in the semi, Daniela lost and Stosur went onto win the Tournament.

who likes my new Charleston pic??!! awesome... well done Dani! against Alla, saw alla at AO, she is alright. I wish to venture off to Charleston next year or IW or miami to see her play. I have seen dani twice. The first time was something special...... I wish to travel and go to all Dani tourneys all year DREAM! hahaha I saw her this year at AO, didn't look as solid as she does now, I reckon she can get to top 15 this year.

I forgot to say CONGRATZZ to Aga and Daniela for the doubles. I saw the photos, she really did look quite happy with herself and Aga. Goodluck with Makiri this week. That sure is a very hot side haha.

A decent win for Daniela considering she was still playing Miami on Sunday.
Just HOW did McHale manage to beat Kleybanova 6-1 6-0?! She beat Kuznetsova at Indian Wells but that was a tight match. This win over Kleybanova is a thrashing. Still, it means a lower-ranked opponant for Daniela in round 3 if she can get past Rodina today.

When was the last time Daniela lost just one point on her serve in a set. Good showing so far.

Keeps the run going in the second set, leading 6-0 1-0*. Rodina has won just 10 points.

Daniela misses two break point opporunities; Rodina finally holds a service game and gets on the scoreboard. *1-1 in the second.
