No. 29 Daniela Hantuchova broke American Melanie Oudin in the final game of the match to claim a 6-1, 6-3. In her 12th appearance at the Sony Ericsson Open this year, the Slovak stormed the court, breaking Oudin’s serve twice and gaining a 5-0 advantage before Oudin won her first service game. “I felt like I was really playing well overall, moving good, and that was a good sign,” Hantuchova said. She converted five break points and could face Caroline Wozniacki in the third round. “I’ve got nothing to lose,” she added.

Daniela Hantuchova echoed similar thoughts .“It’s nice to have some fun away from the court. We get to relax a bit and step away from the tennis, which is needed every now and then.” - talking about the players' party.

CAROLINE WOZNIACKI: Ah, I don't remember the last time I played her. Yeah, so it's a long time ago. But she's playing well. She's going for her shots, as well. Yeah, she's been doing some good results lately, as well. It's not gonna be easy. She's a good friend of mine. We have fun hanging out.
You know, in the next match it will just be about focusing on the ball.

Tennis Channel are giving coverage from 11am to 12 am (midnight) tomorrow, so Daniela's match should be televised.

I've got to believe that a match with the no. 1 playing will be televised, although when Daniela played Petrova on the stadium after the big ATP match on Saturday night last year that wasn't televised but Wozniacki is the no. 1.

Daniela has GOT to get her tactics right today. Sharapova against Wozniacki last week was embarrassing. It's fine to go for winner but at the right time. We all know that Wozniacki gives you loads of different kind of balls at medium pace so daniela must be SO patient. If daniela doesn't use her brain in this match then I really wouldn't be surprised that she gets bagelled in one of the sets. Please daniela don't play into woz's hands. Try and stay out there for as long as possible. The longer the match goes on the better.

Also Daniela must expect the ball to always come back. However good a shot Daniela hits she's got to expect that woz will get it back. It's about time daniela scored a win over a world number one but I do think that it's a really bad matchup for daniela. If daniela does win then in my opinion it'll be the best win of her career just because caroline is so consistent and clever on court. Really really want to see daniela win today-can you tell? Lol.

Daniela's coach is Matej Liptak, who's also the Slovak Fed Cup captain and he's been coaching her since Bali last year. Liptak had the week off during Pattaya, probably because it was the week after the Fed Cup and I think he had to go to the draw in London.
