This will really level out Monterrey ranking point loss. She needs to get to semis to level it.
Guess who's having lemonade to celebrate!?!

Two nice wins for Daniela, and both from a set down. I'd like to see Cibulkova beat Zvonareva for a Slovak quarter-final but I think Vera will have the edge. Draw is slightly more open with Li losing today but Jankovic is still there, and Daniela's quarter-final won't be easy.
Schiavone (seeded 3) and Peer (seeded 8) also lost today, so Wozniacki the last remaining seed in top half.

If being a Daniela Hantuchova fan has taught me anything, it's to appreciate a win regardless of the scoreline. It's frustrating not being able to watch the match, because it's hard to tell whether Dushevina was playing some inspired tennis or if Daniela was having an off day. Regardless, the positives to be taken is that despite losing a tight first set Daniela was able to re-group and take out the match.

Hopefully the length of time Dani has spent on court won't be her undoing in the quarter finals as she's definitely got a chance of progressing. She couldn't possibly be playing too early in the day for her next round as Cibulkova and Zvonereva are last match on, so she should get some decent rest.
