There really is no reason for this loss at all. She was completely in control going into the second set and class Dani let her opponent back into the match. Yes she did get everything back but with Dani's variety she should have been able to adapt. It really is a shame. No excuse for this result.

I don't believe this, I feel absolutely sick.

Zahlavova Strycova did play well in the last two sets and she ran absolutely everything down, but Daniela made a lot of bad errors and her shot selection was poor. I don't know why she tried that cross court backhand volley at 3-1 in the third when the ball was going to drop out and she'd be at deuce. Daniela also kept playing drop shots that Zahlavova kept running down and hitting winners from. I was also a little surprised she kept smashing the lobs rather than going for drive volleys. Daniela had one of those days in the last two sets when she just totally lost it and made poor choices and errors while the opponents level went way up because in the first set Zahlavova made a lot of errors while in the second and in most of the third she was practically error free. At the same time, Daniela still should have won this but she made errors in rallies she was controlling but then would make an error after retrieving from Zahlavova Strycova.

BTW, if anyone's going to spew out vitriol or be a hater, don't bother.

Now she will drop her ranking again :/

Poor daniela. She was so in control in that 1st set. It turned around so quickly I think daniela got caught out by it. Yet again the schedulers screwed her over as this was the third day in a row she was on court. I really think a day completely off makes a massive difference. I'm most upset that daniela vs shazza won't happen. I'm also disappointed that while mahut managed to serve to stay in the match 68 times in that fifth set daniela wasn't able to do that once. I fear that this could be the start of the end for daniela as this loss will really be demoralising for dani. What did she look like when she lost-hung head? I couldn't bear watch it...

Someone should have told her Slovakia were beating Italy
Maybe that would have boosted her confidence

she´s ,,out of order" now and i really think her best moments are gone...........
I still think she is able to win more matches, but I dont like shes playing at level of her every opponent. Shes playing quite good, than drop her level hugely and then some bright sides... but it wont help! She has to win matches like other players easily :/


I sometimes think she is letting the opponent to be good and saying herself "Im still able to do it" But why those lets?! It would have looked otherwise!
