The match Mahut - Isner is just unbelieveable.

No break during the whole 5th set, which means 118 games. And also only 5 break points if I rember correctly.

There won't be such a long set like this ever in history again.

She did what she needed to win this match. She did have some good serves but her return is ups and downs. She definitely has to improve to go further. She has a chance now in the second round so level up and go.

The final set in Mahut-Isner had more games than the entire match between Gonzalez and Pasarell in 1969 which previously had the most games played. That had only 112 games and that was before tiebreaks. If there was no tiebreak they'd still be in the third set. It's moved beyond the result and on to the accumulation of games and the passage of time and the continuation of the match is more important and epic than it's conclusion.

Mahut had to win 24-22 in the final set in qualifying

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

The Inser - Mahut match is SO incredibly unbelievable. Virtually every record has been shattered. I can't wait to see someone win and see the audience and player reaction.

Meanwhile, Daniela wins and hopefully will be able to win the next match and take on Maria. I love Maria but am will strongly support Daniela.

Regarding Daniela, I'm pleased she got the win - especially so as after reading some of the comments on here the other day I thought she had already lost as I didnt have time to check the score myself - but by the sounds of things improvements need to be made if she is to progress much further in this tournament...but how many times have we all said that before? This isnt anything new with Daniela, so may as well get behind her like the fans that we are :D

As for the Mahut - Isner match, I just keep wondering what it's going to be like for the loser. Every record has just been blown out of the water in this match and not by just a little bit, by an absolute country mile. The match has gone on for so long that the electronic score board broke because of the huge numbers involved. The fact that the final set ALONE has gone on for longer than any other match in history gives you some context, but what a battle...and it's only the first round. Good on the organisers to give them third match up today cause i dont think they would have been able to handle it if they would have been any earlier, good luck lads and good luck Daniela today.

A Break for Daniela :D

She is still pretty frustrated about the calls, the czech :))

4:1 for Daniela!

Come on!

Daniela is good enough so far! But The czech is still dangerous.
