I HATE the way schiavone plays, it's so loopy and annoying. No mistakes either so Daniela has to generate everything. I don't think she's gunna come back from this, unless Schiavone's serve goes off the boil.

0-1 Fran serving :( 0-15, 15-15, 15-30, 30-30 comn, 30-40, 0-2 :( :(

Finally on the board 1-2*

I think Daniela is maybe feeling tired from her FED Cup exploitations...right now she find the court at all. 1-3 Dani serving.

Argh. She fought off a couple of breaks as well. Come on, Daniela. Break back.

I hate the way Schiavone plays as well. It's such a snooze-fest. And her grunt is particularly irritating. You've got admire her for what she gets out of her game though. She's a great competitor.

Disappointing start to the third 0-2 down :(

1-2 now. Good hold by Dani. Break her here.

Double break down in the third and she hasn't been able to break Schi in a while. It's not looking good.

well, this is pretty much over... Schiavone frustrated the hell out of daniela...

Daniela's hitting quite a few errors now. :S

EDIT: 1-5 down now. 3 errors in that game to hand it to Schiavone. I smell curtains.
EDIT1: Daniela is hitting errors off of the most routine of shots. Ugh

The worst two sets from daniela this whole season. Did Daniela receive on court coaching in this match?

Please schiavone get tight.

Well, Daniela just served and volleyed to hold. Interesting.

2-5 down. She'll have to dramatically improve if she's gunna break Schiavone here. She's hitting a lot of errors. Schi barely has to play out the point. Daniela's just handing it to her.

There seems to be no justice in this loss at all. 2 weeks ago Daniela played the tennis of her life, but of course there was no rankiong points on offer. It seems if Daniela's playing to help others she's amazing as soon as it's for her own personal gain she plays like this.

The only positive from this match is that she played an excellent 1st set. But I don't really know what to say to help in the last two sets...

Daniela  Those last two sets were pretty atrocious. When is she going to learn that getting stroppy and petulant won't improve her tennis?

I only tuned in when Daniela was down in the second set (fail) but her performance left a lot to be desired. She made a frightening amount of errors towards the end of that match. All Schi had to do was keep the ball in play and Daniela would inevitably give her the point. There were a couple of pivotal games on Daniela's serve which were really tight and Schi won them. She chased down too many balls and Daniela ended up getting frustrated and missing. It's a disappointing result but not a totally unexpected one from where i sit. Daniela had been playing great tennis, but it just wasn't the right court to beat a red hot Schiavone.

She didn't get to spend much time in her favourite city :(
