There has never been any doubt in my mind that Daniela is a top 5 talent tenniswise. Mentally,of course she struggles to break the top 100

I'm biased for Daniela. Ask me who's going to win any tournament in women's tennis and I'll tell you Hantuchova every time.

Bammer pulled out of her quarterfinal match against Ivanovic citing an injured shoulder. That's awful for Sybille who was having a great run here. It also doesn't speak well for Daniela that she got crushed by a player who apparently far less than 100%.

Semi-final line-up:

Azarenka [8] v Zvonareva [4]
Ivanovic [5] v Pavlyuchenkova

My money is on Azarenka...

"It's the first time that I have had problems with my shoulder," Bammer told reporters.
"It happened yesterday at my practice and this morning, when I was warming up, I just couldn't continue. I normally play very well here and it is a place I really enjoy."

"I'm very disappointed because I was playing better and better this week," the 28-year-old Austrian said. "Two years ago I beat Ana here so it's very frustrating for me."
Asked whether she still planned to compete in the WTA event in Miami starting next week, she replied: "Tonight I will have an MRI to check my shoulder. Then I will rest and I hope I am fine for Miami."

When I heard this my reaction was *@*^. It's frustrating that Bammer plays her best game for a long time against Daniela and then gets hurts the next day and withdraws giving Ivanovic a bye to the semi.
I don't like players being injured, but if Bammer does miss Miami then it helps Daniela's quest for a seeding.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Poor Bammer , it's a shame , she could win against Ivanovic but it was a nice return to the competition .
So , ok , Daniela lost . But weren't we expecting her to lose in the 3R against Dementieva ? She lost in 4R to a player that is ranked above her so wasn't all bad .
She'll drop to #43 in next ranks but I think that she'll be seeded in Miami and she can try at least to defend her points .
Lets hope that during this week she gets ready for Miami and suprise us .

PS: i don't think that she can reach Top20 until Wimbledon , but I truly hope so.

Danka WILL be seeded in Miami, and it is not depending on Bammer. They used the ranking from this week, and she is ranked 35. Petrova, Srebotnik, Sharapova already out.
