Ahh I cant wait to see her at Wimbledon. Only 2 clay tournaments Thats a shame. Well as long as she makes RG thats all im worried about.

As far as I have understood she will play in Strasbourg the week before French Open and then of course play at the French Open. That's it for clay.

Daniela is as expected out of Berlin. She withdrew today.

I don't expect her back sooner than at RG.

For me, it's most important that Daniela comes back only when she's completely ready and healthy. My fear is that she might try to comeback for Rome and aggravate the injury and miss more time but I don't think that's likely. A concern about Istanbul is the travelling as it's quite far away for a tournament the week before a slam and none of the players who went deep into Istanbul last year did very much at Roland Garros. Strasbourg would be better as it's much nearer Paris but Daniela may not be fit to play either, making it moot.

Hopefully she can get a decent draw at Roland Garros and get to at least the third round and defend her points because after that she doesn't have too many points to defend and the chance to gain a lot between then and the US Open. Daniela can make up the points she drops after Rome in the grass and hardcourt seasons.
