I'm not a downer but dunno why I have a really baaaaaad feeling about the draw :|
Anyway, I do believe that UNLESS she plays against Henin or Clijsters until R3, she has a good shot at reaching at least R4

The seeding hasn't worked out too badly and I think Daniela would have a good chance against against most of the 9- 16 seeds although Clijsters and Shazza would be very difficult opponents. However, Daniela's got to win a couple of matches before she gets to the third round and there are a few dangerous players that are unseeded - Henin and Wickmayer for example - so let's hope Daniela gets a decent draw.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

There's a little clock on the AO website that gives Melbourne time plus your local time.

Let's do some analyzing here. Of the players in the 9-16 bracket, Daniela would have NO chance against Clijsters or Sharapova, unless they retired injured. She would be the underdog against Radwanska, Penetta but she'd have a slight chance of winning. Zvonareva is coming of a serious injury, so she's a question mark. Against Bartoli and Li she has a better chance, but not by much. And Stosur, well, she doesn't seem to be playing very well lately, but she would have the crowd on her side. All in all, I think Bartoli or Stosur would be the best draw for Daniela.

p.s.

I'm of the opinion that it never rains but it pours,so given the bad news I've had tennis wise this week(Nalby withdrawing,Rafa messing up a golden chance to win Doha) I firmly believe Daniela will have the following draw:

1R Henin
2R Wickmayer
3R Clijsters
4R S.Williams

Henin drew Flipkens 1st round with Dementieva in 2r; that should be a good match. Missed the live draw just getting live recap now.

Some notable first round matches:

Henin-Flipkens, as discussed above
Wozniacki-Wozniak, again and terrible luck for Alexandra as just missed getting seeded

Sharapova-Kirlilenko
Safina-Rybarikova - Dinara and Maria are in the same eighth of the draw.

Venus-Safarova
Serena-U. Radwanska - Williamses are in the same half
