Oh, she has had worse lows. This is, sadly, more of the same. But she seems to be healthy and into improving.

Time creating perspective: Next time Daniela faces Halep, if she wins, we should celebrate big time!

Let's Go, Daniela!

I don't think she will fare well. Halep is a wall and in form, Daniela needs to be at 100% to beat those (see Woz at RG).

Halep through to the final vs Kvitova. I guess thats some comfort although frustrating that another tournament goes by where Daniela needed some ranking points and got one of the toughest first rounders.

Halep's run here does put Daniela's result into a little bit of perspective and Halep has been in great form in recent months. She's won 3 tournaments in the past few months and she got to the semi-final in Rome after beating Daniela beating a lot of good players along the way and she's in the final here after beating Daniela.

Even in Cincinnati, Petkovic was coming off a run to the Washington final and had breezed through qualifying so she was in form and confident.

Daniela isn't in great form at the moment but her recent losses have been to players in good form.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Halep is playing incredible.

I just watched the match. It was Clijsteresque at times with winners everywhere. Halep's movement and ball placement is incredible. Yes Kvitova imploded on herself but it was definitely down to Halep's consistency and getting every ball back with interest.

Daniela shouldn't be too disappointed with the loss seeing as Halep won the tourney!
