3-5, Daniela was 40-30 but Torro_flor wins the next 3 points to break. She hit some good shots but Daniela just isn't doing anything.
4-5, absolutely fantastic fighting from Daniela to save 2 MPs at 40-15 to win the next 4 points.
5-5, Daniela holds to 30. She was 40-0 up but won on her 3rd GP.
5-6. Torro-Flor holds to 15. She got the benefit of the doubt on a very close call that looked out on one of her serves.
6-6, Daniela holds to 30 from 30-30 with a great drop shoot and a down the line winner.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Well Torro-Flor definitely wants this more, Daniela serving to stay in 5-6, and we all know if it get's to a tiebreak what Daniela's tiebreak record is... :x

Another tie break lost... damn. That hurt.

I have always advocated Daniela playing in small tournaments, but if she is going to keep bombing out of them like this, then I do not know what is left to pick up ranking points.

Daniela was 3-2 up but only won another point and from 4-4 she made 2 errors to bring up match point for Torro-Flor. Torro-Flor made a great shot at 3-3 in the tiebreak after Daniela hit a drop shot to counter drop shot cross court which Daniela couldn't get back in court.

This is disappointing as Daniela was up a break twice in the third set and she dropped serve right away to get Torro-Flor back into the match and her terrible tiebreak record continues. Torro-Flor hit the ball well and her retrieving was good but Daniela was below par and her shots lacked penetration and she was on the defensive a lot. Her serve just wasn't good in the third set and she only won 47% of her service points.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Well comes back to my point re. to the photo shoots and tv programmes - Daniela's half-focussed at the moment.

She should have treated this tournament like a Grand Slam as she had a dream draw here to get back to top 50. But you could tell from her demeanor she wasn't really treating it like one.

Her draw next week will probably be very hard to win a round.

Only positive I guess is that she will be well rested for her first round at Roland Garros.

Daniela's still played some great tennis this year as she's shown at Brisbane, the Fed Cup, the Middle East & Madrid. She's had 2 top ten wins this year and she's also beaten good players like Kirilenko, Stephens, Robson, Suarez Navarro & Jovanovski, so we know that Daniela's still capable of playing great tennis but she needs time to prepare for these matches.
I do wonder the extent to which injuries, age and general wear and tear have just worn her down and how much she can get motivated for smaller events against lowly ranked or average players as she's lost a lot of matches this year to players that she'd have beaten easily in the past. Torro-Flor will probably win this tournament now.

Hopefully, Daniela can do well at Roland Garros and the silver lining from this match is that she can have more time to prepare although so much will depend on her draw.

Daniela wasn't the only seed to lose today as Bartoli lost to Giorgi 6-3 6-2 and Paszek & McHale lost as well.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Daniela withdrew from doubles. Hopefully just a precaution and she wants head to Paris to prepare.

It is a worry that Daniela's shoulder is giving her problems, especially so close to Roland Garros. It would explain why Daniela's serve was so weak in the third set against Torro-Flor and she didn't serve that well against Halep in Rome either. If Daniela's serve had been anything like she's capable of, like in Madrid, she'd have won yesterday. I hope that Daniela can at least be fit enough to do herself justice at Roland Garros.

I know it was a long match yesterday but Pennetta beat Torro-Flor 6-2 6-3 today.

It would have been interesting to see how Daniela could have done with Hradecka as she's one of the top doubles players and they could have made a really good team, albeit for one week only, but Daniela's health is the most important thing.
