sorry, but danielas performance had nothing to do with the wind. she just played awful in the 1st set. and it wasn't that windy!

seems to me that daniela didn't know how to play a backhand from one second to another. Pistolesi said that she had this problems earlier in training too.
So she got more and more unsure because of her backhand and made soo many unforced errors.

I didn't know how she manage to get the backhand more and more better but i'm sooo glad she did it!! great fighting spirit!!
For sure the 2nd round will be very tough with Bartoli or Peng...

Peng's next for Daniela after she beat Bartoli in straight sets. I just got the end of it and Bartoli had an injury so she was restricted in her movement which helped Peng although Peng played pretty well and it's easily Peng's best result for a while.

Daniela will have to play much better than she did today or last week but tomorrow's another day. Daniela beat Peng in Stanford in 2007 but it's so long ago that it doesn't really have too much bearing for tomorrow. Daniela has to play like she did in Australian and Pattaya.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Azarenka has withdrawn from Dubai. If Daniela can rediscover some form, there's a real chance of going deep here.

WOW!! She didn't face a single break point the entire match! I only was able to watch the 1st set ans both players were playing awesome tennis. Hope to watch the 2nd set somewhere on replay. What was her winning reaction. What a contrast to yesterday!!

Solid match from Daniela, into the quarter-finals and meeting the unexpected Julia Goerges there. This makes Daniela's win against Hercog a little sweeter, since if she'd have lost that one it would have now seemed like a real missed opportunity. As it is, Daniela has a decent shot at a semi-final place.

A really good win by Daniela. I missed the match but from the reports and stats Daniela played well and her serving was good as she didn't even have a BP against her. Maybe she could have done a little better converting the BPs in the first set, but the one she got won her the set and she used the momentum to go through the second set easily enough.

Hantuchova had some very nice words about Peng. "She has improved so much, especially over the last 12 months. She had a great year last year and she has worked really hard on her game - on the tennis side, on the fitness side. She is always going to be one of the toughest players to play against, but she's a great girl. We always practice together. It's nice to see her do so well."

"Rival appeared in the first round very well disposed Marion Bartoli. I knew then that I must be fully prepared. Every tournament is very open, not only that - it gives me greater motivation. Already have a great year and I hope it follows will continue. It is clear to me that in the quarterfinals against Julie Görgesovej I have to perform my best tennis if I want to succeed. We are looking forward to the match," she said in an interview with the organizers still on the court Daniela Hantuchova, who put on a" winner "more (24:23) and had significantly more secure hand (Make sure fetchmail errors 18:27). @ google translate.

"I am pleased to further finals this year. Certainly I am pleased that in my administration today was no brejkbaly. I was well concentrated from beginning to end. Conditions were more pleasant than on Tuesday because so many nefúkalo. Was played easily. Today I was well on his feet, which also surprised me, because I felt a little tired after I gave in the first round, so long 'zápasík'," with a smile, noted in an interview with SITA Daniela Hantuchova at the commemoration of its 152 minutes per Slovene-long duel with Polona Hercog (1:6, 7:5, 7:6 / 4 /).

Twenty-German girl, 19 in the rankings, the best sixteen sovereign 6:0, 6:2 overwhelmed Australian "lucky loserku" Casey Dellacquovú of qualifications, which replaced the health indisponovanú leader of the world rankings Victoria Azarenka of Belarus.

"So far all the great rival toys, no nothing anyone can not be free. Will not be easy, but certainly I have a chance. But do not think of it. I have to concentrate on the ball to the ball. As indeed this tournament goes to the end of the week, it let the surprise," said D. Hantuchova.
