Just watched the truncated version again on Eurosport. It was that hideous drop shot into the bottom of the net in the TB that will make fans cringe.

5-7 6-3 6-4. Just your usual Daniela rollercoaster of a match.

Great fightback from 5-7 0-3 (double-break down) to win. Will laugh if she beats Kvitova in straight sets tomo.

Stirring comeback (will the day ever come where people will stop questioning Daniela's intestinal fortitude ) Logic now dictates that, considering the lingering health questions, service struggles, and back-to-back marathon matches, and stuck with facing Petra when almost every other seed was KOed early, our gal doesn't stand a chance. All of us long-term Daniela Maniacs, though, clearly know that logic and Dani don't belong in the same sentence! (At least on the court.) I can see either player winning love & 1. I'm still stewing over Birmingham and the awfully timed abdominal injury, and see this as business yet not finished. Maybe Daniela sees it the same way. This could be huge. Not only would this be her 6th Top 10 scalp this year, but the seeds already out include people that have been thorns in Daniela's side (Pennetta, Anastasia Alphabet, Sabine), and the ones left are people she can handle. Should she have enough in the tank tomorrow to take Petra out, well, this might be a Drive to #5! Let's Go, Daniela!!

A good fightback by Daniela last night against an opponent who had a bit of momentum and who'd had good wins at Wimbledon. Daniela's wins here have been battling wins but they show her determination and that her fitness seems to be better as she had a long match on Wednesday but was able to come back from a deficit yesterday to get the win. You just have to look at the upsets there have been in this tournament to realise that a win here is good.

Kvitova is likely to be Daniela's toughest opponent in the tournament but her post-Wimbledon form hasn't been great and Daniela was unlucky against Kvitova at Eastbourne. The winner of this match has an excellent chance of winning the tournament.
