Daniela is clearly being risky playing all this tennis with this injury but I think she knows that she could get horrid draw in Wimbledon anyway so why not enjoy it while she's winning. I think her arm/shoulder injury differs from day to day so we'll just have to see how it goes tomo. I think daniela knows that it's going to be very unlikely that she'll beat venus tomo so she'll probably get thursday onwards to rest anyway so I guess so long as it doesn't feel worse tomo she should just enjoy being on centre court at eastbourne.

Doesn't sound too good-I hope she can get off the anti-inflammatory tablets before Wimbledon because they can seriously disorientate you. It can be a great temptation to play through the pain when the results are good, but there musn't be a repeat of what happened in 2007-8 when she kept playing on her injured heel, with disastrous consequences.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating-she remains healthy and there will be a great chance to break through the round of 16 barrier at Wimbledon.

Well that definitely wasn't the result i was expecting when i woke up this morning. Go Daniela! Beating 4 of the top 5 players this year is quite the statistic.

As everyone has been saying, it's a worry the amount of tennis she's playing coupled with the fact that she's injured, but you can't exactly argue with results. I just hope she's putting herself in the best possible position come Wimbledon...

I knew it!..I know she's going to win against Na.... good job Dani...
I'm also worried about her shoulder but she knows if it will affect her game..as long as she's winning and doing a great job...she knows if she needs rest or go for the win..

I'm in the same boat. The only thing I have is the WTA/ATP scores app on my phone as the one on the internet seems a bit too intermitent. But, it needs to stop raining first :/

We're finally underway. Given Daniela's previous record against Venus, I'm not expecting much. Daniela has already exceeded expectations this week and I hope she enjoys herself, is competitive and doesn't do any further damage to the shoulder.

And just after I say that, she breaks Venus to 15. Not the worst start :)

Two break back points to get one of the breaks back for Venus, but Daniela (based on the stats and a scoreboard) seems to be playing extremely well. Keep it up Daniela. Could we have another dream Eastbourne run to the final on our hands?
