I remember in 2004 Daniela made about 100 errors and had to save six MPs against Camille Pin and in the next round Daniela beat Alicia Molik, who was in great form at the the time, in straight sets. We'll see what happens against Dementieva, but hopefully the weather's nothing like as brutal as today.

I don't know if Daniela's going to feel up for the doubles, but she looked really drained at the end, so I do think she should rest, although she doesn't have a match tomorrow so she may turn out.
King's scheduled to play mixed doubles right after Daniela's doubles, the organisers seem to think it's going to be quick:

I really think Daniela should keep playing the doubles since she has much better chances to succeed than her singles game against Dementieva. Considering her current level, her 3rd round might be a hard defeat.

At the end of the 3rd set against King, she didn't even play a bit more aggressively on important points

Daniela on the piano, Vania as the lead singer, Dan & Van, I think it's a goer.

King said "Congratulations Daniela-you always beat me!"

Vania :heart2:

Did she? Oh, bless her. She seems a really fun girl :)
She really seems nice. But Im glad Dani won :)

About the doubles... Like I said. I think Daniela should try the match at least... what happens.

Hantuchova into third after the procedure shone round satisfaction. "It was an excellent match on both sides. Although I am already over Vania won for the fifth time, just as at Wimbledon in June, it was fighting for every ball. I am glad that I finally managed in the terminal. Now I will try to relax a little bit and go for massage and I will strive to best prepare for another difficult match with Dementieva. Today's race me siphon off enough power, but I believe that still find themselves in power," said Hantuchova in the first interview on the court directly.

Honestly, it's tough to take too many positives from this one today. Struggling to beat a player like King is not a good omen. She will need a much better performance against Dementieva, suffice to say. Specifically, she needs to do a lot better on second service points, both as the server and the returner.

I saw a lot of positives today. Just short of 3 hours, incredibly hot and she pulls it out in 3. Of course she had earlier chances but that is the nature of the beast (sports). She could have lost in 2 sets.

I told you she should at least try the doubles match :) It has paid off. Really nice win!

Daniela on Facebook

Hey everyone! It was difficult conditions today, it was very hot - but I've been working on my fitness this year and I knew the longer the match went, the better it was for me. Vania played really well. She's very talented and she seems to bring her best game out against me. Now I'll take care of my leg, rest and recover and hope to play well against Elena.

BTW this site is definitely a fan page of Daniela. It works just exactly like Danielas shots... up and down :D

Also Clijster is a bit up and down right now... Li Na lost in 1R. I can see they have been training with Daniela :D Oh OK, just kidding :)

Im happy Daniela is through to 3R! And that nice win at doubles
