Finally a good game. We've seen her claw her way back before. She just needs to make AP play as much as possible. Wear her down.

The only positive I can take from that second set is that Daniela will be serving first in the 3rd. That was god awful and if she plays like that from the start in the final set, she's done for.

Onto a 3rd set. Dani will serve first she absolutely has to hold! They keep saying AP is a future top 10 threat, I just don't see it. I would think her fitness would need to improve dramatically.

Im on the cusp of turning this off because I'm starting to get angry. I know Daniela can be frustrating and watching her for the last six years I should be used to it, but I dont think you can get used to this.

Daniela had the one awesome point on the first break point, but blew it on game point with a bad error. Her second serve has been awful all game.

I agree. Plus I really don't care for AP she just seems to be a big giant ball basher.

An early break for Pavlyuchenkova gets her ahead straight away in this decider. Daniela looks out of this one (unfortunately).

What a difference in two-and-a-half years. Back in 2007 when these two met at Wimbledon Daniela was in great form and Pavlyuchenkova was just a junior. Daniela won 6-0 6-1.

You can just imagine a ball-basher like Pavlyuchenkova practising forehands and backhands for hours and hours in practice for these kinds of situations. Full of confidence and now just powering to the finish line with consistent strokes.

Yeah while much of her game has a lot to be desired. You have to hand it to her she's just out there robotically hitting winner after winner.
