A little bit of controversary but Daniela keeps her head and gets the game (although she didn't really have to do much from 15-30). Back on serve, 2-2.

Another break for Daniela, now leading *4-2. Playing aggresively, but with margin for error, which is great to see. Coming into the net when she should be and making her volleys. All good so far; and the commentators are impressed too. ;)

Daniela is looking pretty sharp here; very few bad errors and even some variety.

Hope Dani will win.
we all do ;)

that was an important game and Szavay is starting to play aggressively too.
right now the net is to high for her, but Daniela might face some problems if Szavay stops making errors.

The first few games of the match were terrible, there was hardly a winner, just errors from both sides. But then Daniela gradually fired up, she got better when the match went on although I have to say, Agnes let her do it. But well done Daniela, you can build up further from here. Any win can build up her confidence, so let's keep going.

So nice for Daniela to get her 1st QF of the year in her 1st tournament!

That bad line call at the beginning really got Daniela fired up, i think Daniela should get angry more, i think it helps. I loved hearing the on-court coaching. Cahill is awesome! A great partnership.

I also loved Sam Smith's commentating. She always gives praise when it's due and she is appropriately critical too.

Good luck Daniela against Petkovic...i guess it'll be tomorrow.

One thing i will add, Daniela seems mentally tougher this year, just in terms of attitude...hope she can keep it up. Her strokes seems harder and faster too. Although I wish her serve was more in the high 170kmh...

A really, really good win and performance by Daniela. She was a little bit tense in the first couple of games and made a few errors but once she got into a rhythm Daniela played very well. She hit a lot of good winners, constructed points well, she served well (although Szavay hit some winners off the second serve), she moved well, her shot selection and execution was good and she was focused and confident. I'm really happy with how she played. At the same time, Szavay was pretty poor and made a lot of errors and Daniela absolutely gobbled up her second serve. Still, Daniela got the job done and once she got the momentum there was no let up or lapse.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.
