i feel personally that if she misses RG its not the most disappointing thing that could happen. It's almost the most disappointed thing it could happen. But the worst thing for me would to see her during a match in RG and see her retire because of her injury. I would like to see her so much but not to see her injured. I hope next year she will be better. |

But the worst thing for me would to see her during a match in RG and see her retire because of her injury. yeah thats the point i was getting at, it'd be terrible to see her come back early and do further damage that puts her season off even more. It would be a shame if she misses the grand slam but if it happens, its in her best interests. |

Well I think the better choice is to retire, rather than to practice some days and then maybe lose in 1st round. I think it would be better to focus on grass-season. |

I think it's very unlikely that Daniela will play Roland Garros as she was saying that she couldn't stand or walk for more than ten minutes without pain, so I don't think that she'll have recovered enough to be able to play, let alone do any preparation. The risks far outweigh any rewards and I'm sure that Daniela will be sensible and comeback when she's recovered and it's safe for her to do so. The earliest I think she could come back would be Rosmalen and all I'm looking for from the grass season is that Daniela gets through her matches without aggravating the injury, anything else is a bonus. The priority is her health rather than results or ranking. The earliest I'm expecting Daniela to be competitive and play well is Stanford, before that all I'm hoping for is that she gets better. There's the hardcourt season, the Olympics, the US Open, the indoor season and perhaps the Year End Championship to look forward to, as well as 2009, 2010 and the years to come. |

The olympics are Daniela's big dream and it would be so sad if she couldn't compete. 2004 wasn't exactly her year at the top, coming back from all those problems and if she is injured this year, she'll most likely never get a real chance of competing in the Olympics |

about RG, Daniela is a smart girl and i think we should trust her to make the right decision for herself. I agree with you Kristen90. She is a smart girl and not just a pretty face. She will come back when she is ready and im confident that she will decide on the perfect time to come back. Its looking like she will miss RG but i dont care, as most of you have said her fitness comes first. Take your time Daniela we are behind you all the way. |

martin from where has the info ''was yet to decide"? before 5 days said after 10min walk is hurting and now is thinking to play or not? That was what Marianna Hantuchova said. Personally I think since there is still a week left until RG kicks off Daniela is waiting for a miracle. Imo she would be stupid to play, but if she wants to stake her entire career, so that she could play one albeit big tournament, it's her business. Hopefully that won't be the case, though. |
