I'm guessing that Daniela just wants some rest as she's played every tournament since Indian Wells (apart from Barcelona/Charleston) and in Madrid she had her leg strapped up, which I can't remember her doing before, and in Warsaw and Roland Garros she moved sluggishly, so I think she's wanting to rest and be fresh for Wimbledon and the hardcourt season.
Birmingham would be great for points and to get a Wimbledon seeding but if Daniela doesn't feel up to playing there, then it's probably best that she doesn't as there are a lot of tournaments where she can gain points and she's got more chance of doing well if she's fresh and healthy than jaded and sore.

Hope you are right chungwit but it doesn't explain why she's apparently not on the list for Rosmalen...yet

Apart from Warsaw she wasn't making deep runs in any of these tournaments, and she's just had a week off,so I do start to wonder... it doesn't explain why she's apparently not on the list for Rosmalen...Maybe she's read my post about playing Eastbourne

I was going through the commitment thread for Eastbourne over at tennisforum and I think I read that Daniela was on the entry list for Eastbourne, but she was ranked too low to get it, as she was ranked 40 when the list came out. Really strong field there IMO, so I would prefer Hertogenbosch

It's an interview with Daniela and she mentions Eastbourne and that she was wanting to go to England early to prepare for Wimbledon.
I used the google translator but it's a good interview and she talks about coaching and her commitment to tennis.

I agree with Christina that Rosmalen would be the better tournament as Daniela would have a much better chance of going on a run there and getting momentum and confidence going into Wimbledon.

Google's best effort:

Consistency between koučom a game is subject to a number of threatening factors. "From the psychological point of view, for me its best effect Ángel pohodovosťou. I am very pleased that as a person was quiet, unassuming, for nothing is not played. Some Coaches are bigger stars than their ordinands," sniff Hantuchová and continued: "Maybe between the coaches is not much difference in what you say. Sometimes, however, it is sufficient to say the same otherwise. We have fun with the 'Sugi', who is with his mother since twenty years. Sometimes you need to hear the opinion of someone a third, even if the content is identical, and now you feel the changes. I will always endeavor to remain loyal to the end - until I see full that enough. nezvaľujem Determine never to blame for coach. I guess she says she has no one to blame but herself when making mistakes on court... And that every coach has given her different things... Thats what I can understand from the google thing.

Dunno if Eastbourne is the best option... a packed draw isnt the best to get wins :?
