One of my acquaintances does have an access to entry lists for this season, so I will try to inform you where Daniela plays. However, as I understand the lists won't get updated when a player enters a tournament late. But it's better than nothing. |

The entry list is strong. You have to concider pullouts as well (and injuries and other complications). I guess they don't want to have to fix it. She played this one last year, right? I think I remember it. Maybe she'll play it again? Is she invited? And it would be great if there were email updates but since you don't even know with privy access . . . at least we've got some one to keep all of us up to date. Thanks guy.

I was going to snake a path around on Google Earth but I'd need to have that first.  I guess I can just do the past. In the future, I might do another one, at least what she is doing now. Gee, with access I don't know what could happen.I'll post a link for the KML, for you, when it's done. Of course you can expect it will take a very long time. But I think you'll like it. It's fun doing it. |

Today, Open Gaz de France (Feb 7-15) released preliminary for 2009. Daniela is not there (so far). Seems to me there is only one good choice. If the money alone isn't enought for you then you ought to have you head checked. (I'm in debt $30k now, myself) I wouldn't miss it for the world and you tell me she isn't signed? I guess there are some who'd have it there way or no way at all. Punch through the wall, find my own self in the fall. Here's to you "33" |

German Open scrapped from WTA schedule BERLIN (AP) _ The German Open has been taken off this year's women's tennis schedule after the Qatari owners of the rights to the tournament gave it back to the WTA Tour. Although the contract with the Qatari tennis federation was still valid for 2009, the Qataris pulled out without informing the German tennis federation or the Berlin organizers. «We were still counting on 2009,» Josef Minderjahn, the president of the Rot-Weiss tennis club in Berlin, the host of the tournament, said Wednesday. Minderjahn said he had been informed by the WTA that the tournament was being taken off the schedule. Georg von Waldenfels, president of the German federation, said he would try to keep the tournament in Berlin this year. The tournament already had been downgraded under the WTA's new schedule, and its prize money had been reduced from $1 million to $600,000. The Berlin clay-court tournament usually took place in May, one week before the French Open, the second Grand Slam of the year. Germany's top men's tournament in Hamburg also has lost its Masters status and has been downgraded. After a boom triggered by the successes of Boris Becker and Steffi Graf in the 1980s and 1990s, the public's interest in the sport has fallen dramatically in Germany. |

I follow the four majors in tennis more than the other tournaments, but if Daniela's playing at all, I'll watch. It's hard keeping up with the smaller tournaments, though, because they don't receive any recognition... |
