I would have thought that Daniela should be able to mantain her ranking to gain a seeding at the US Open, I just hope she can put in a couple of decent performances, and at least win one match at Flushing Meadows this year and break into the top 20 by the time she finishes the hard court swing and goes to the indoor tournaments

Thats a good start, and its not a massive gap between her and the top 20. With the results from last year, especially the US open that gap can certainly be closed, still hoping for top 20 after US

no major changes next week for 15-25 spots
gap from 15 is 790 points and considering that we have 2 premier 5 events,1 premier and a slam there are
many points to gain one of these players
danka currently 26 or 27 next week(if cirstea wins today in quarter match)
for 90% will be seeded for usopen(25-32 group)

and she is getting closer to the top20 again. I have her projected at 1979 points for next week. Cirstea right behind her with 1926 points, Cirstea plays Dementieva for a place in the quarters. Schnyder takes up the 20th spot in the projected ranking with 2127 points. Li number 19 with 2132 points.

correct,now is very close to reenter top-20,if wins goes to 2129 points.
schnyder has a qf in usopen to defend and na li 4rth round.
next week new haven points off,danka will drop 70 points(140-70(her 17th best))

one of the requirements are to win an international tournament. So right now she hasn't qualified. But there are 2 wild cards given. She might get one of those.
