yeah, it's kinda disappointing, but honestly I can understand that Daniela needs a holiday.
Bali wouldn't have been an easy tournament for her, especially since she seems to be tired and slightly frustrated after Luxembourg.

Have a break and then surprise everyone in 2010 8-)

Great field, although surprised why Azarenka isn't defending her title, the crowd loved her last year...

Daniela should sneak in a seed. Henin will be a dangerous floater. Would love to see Clijsters vs Henin 1st round though!

Guys, a couple of days ago, ESPN Latinamerica reported that they had an exclusive from Daniela training in St Louis. However, I didnt catch the report, because they didnt say when it was going to air... Anyone knows about this? :)

Azarenka can only play one international per half-year, and I am guessing she is saving it. Also she has been invited to play the exhibition in Hong Kong which is held the same week.
Personally, I am glad she isn't playing Brisbane, as the field is way too strong for an international event. Too much work for too few points

Don't knows about DANI training. But this's interview with DANI from Sports Center 'La Loma' in San Luis Potosi.

Daniela Hantuchova is in Mexico, talent and beauty of world tennis.

Oh, thanks a lot... Well, she's training in Mexico. Why do you guys think that is? Maybe Larri's doing? I want to know more, but the interview is fairly generic. She just says she is training there, that she loves it and she thinks these are the best facilities in the world (really?)...

She also talks about Wimbly being her favorite GS, tennis today becoming more and more about power and physical strength, the sacrifices a tennis player makes (friends and family), modeling... nothing new. Hope we get a bit more info... ESPN should have some coverage since not a lot of international tennis "stars" come here...

- a bit about Daniela playing Dubai.

“Daniela Hantuchova has enjoyed a very successful career and it is clear that she is still capable of challenging the very best,” said Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of tournament owners and organisers Dubai Duty Free.

“The opposition she faces here at the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships will be second to none, but it would be foolish to write off her chances of winning one of the most sought-after titles on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour.”

Another chance to take on Li, presumably.

Hantuchova will have already two weeks in Bratislava chance to revenge the defeat of Li in Melbourne. Slovakia and China is 6 to 7 February in NTC board against each other in 1st Round II. Fed Cup World Group. "I hope the Fed Cup in Bratislava before the audience's back. The Fed Cup theme we had in Melbourne too tired, each of us focused to achieve the initial Grandslam season best result" said Hantuchova.
