I think now it is really official. Daniela won't play in Linz, as she is not on the entry list, which has been announced on monday.
That is really bad, especially for me, as I planned to go there this year.

According to the (terrible) official page, after Beijing Daniela will play only 3 tournaments until the end of 2008: Porsche Tennis in Stuttgart, Kremlin Cup in Moscow and FORTIS Championships in Luxembourg. Linz and Zürich aren't on the programme (so far). UPDATE 27.9.: Daniela will play Stuttgart, Moscow, Zürich and (may be) Luxembourg. She announced it in a post-match interview in Peking. |

 Yeah she's playing Zurich! She's a late entry! If 2 players withdraw, Danka and Alona will be the next two in!!! That's great! I'll be there on friday and saturday. Hope she will reach QF's

to bad it's in a snooker week again, only one match a day starting at wednesday on Eurosport two , three years ago it was 6-7 hours a day for each indoor tournament |

Might as well cram in the tournaments while she can. She should in theory be fitter and have a bit more left in the tank than most of the girls on tour due to her having a lot of time off with injury (especially so being the grueling clay court season) so she should have a few chances to retain some decent points in the close season Scott |

I knew Danka was the first one to enter main draw as soon as somebody withdrew, but I checked the Zurich entry list like 30 minutes ago, and she still was waiting to get it. |

according to the "entries" on tennisforum, neither Danka or Chakvetadze will play Zurich now, even though they still are on the entry list on the official webpage. |

well. it appears daniela really is playing zurich. she's in the main draw, seeded 8 and is scheduled to play kirilenko in the first round. |

something just came to mind about the whole Linz/Luxembourg situation. Luxembourg is an Octagon tournament. Linz isn't. Could that be a factor in her playing Luxembourg? |
