I think after Indian Wells she could drop as low as no.54, which would be ironic as that was her lowest ranking back in 2004.

she might even drop to the No. 3 Slovakian player

looking at the players between where she is currently and like the top seven atleast, she can beat almost everyone!
(weird to see sharapova at 17!)

I don't know how the points system works, but I can't adjust to seeing Daniela as not the number one tennis player from Slovakia.

The ranking is a concern but at the same time we know that Daniela's a much better player than her ranking as she missed a lot of last season because of illness and injury and that totally disrupted her form and confidence when she returned. She only has points to defend in Paris and Indian Wells, but it's important she puts in good runs there to maintain her ranking.
From Miami to the US Open, she'll be gaining points in pretty much every tournament she enters, so as long as Daniela plays well she'll go back up in the rankings.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

The rankings looks like a rough road ahead. I hope Daniela wins a major during her prime, at least one.

I wouldn't put my money on it, but of course anything is possible. I would like to see her get some doubles majors. I believe this is more realistic. She has already been in 3 finals, unfortunately lost them all.

So after the Dubai loss, Daniela's projected ranking will be 36.

She only has 320 points to defend for both IW and Miami, and will only gain points from then on, correct?
