Daniela has certainly got lucky this week with the draw, but at the same time she has produced some decent tennis and it's perhaps about time a draw went totally in her favour.

Kanepi is currently a set and a break up against Schiavone, so a Daniela - Kaia final seems likely.

kanepi plays very well, but schiavone also makes a lot of errors.
daniela had to play very good tennis tomorrow to win the final, but this is possible :mrgreen: go daniela!!!

Is the moon in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligned with Mars? Whatever's happening in Brisbane, please let it continue for one more day. Kanepi is roaring hot this week; it's very worrisome. Wonderful that Daniela made a final in the first tourney of the year after how last year ended. She'll need to play her best and hopefully the karma that's been with her stays one more match. Let's Go, Daniela!!!!

Fantastic start to the year, although it has certainly be made a lot easier with the injuries of Daniela's opponents, but by the sounds of things Daniela was more than a match for Clijsters until the injury, and god knows Daniela hasn't had the greatest of luck with draws over the years, so I'm not going to complain about her reaching the final. All that's left to do is to wish Daniela good luck in tomorrow's final.

Utterly depressing. She got absolutely killed out there. she was so upset during that changeover at 1-4* in the second set. Thankfully she played better in the last two games and started to smile again. Rise again in Sydney Danka.

Kanepi played great tennis (certainly top-10 level). It will be interesting to see how she progresses this year. Kvitova won Brisbane by convincingly beating Petkovic last year and went on to finish the year ranked number 2.
Daniela had some lucky breaks this week, and if Serena and Kim had been fit she perhaps wouldn't have made the final. Still, it's much-needed ranking points and a final appearance in the very first tournament of the year.
Although she was comprehensively beaten today I'm sure she'll be aware that Kanepi would have beaten most of the players in the top-30 today, and most likely in straight-sets.

I'm glad daniela got the points, but she was really lucky and showed she wasn't up to this caliber of a contender. I hope she takes in the positives. Sad thing is that we don't know what her form is at the moment since she played so little and was trashed in the final.
