Enjoy your time in NYC and at the open. Are you only going Monday? If so I hope Dani is scheduled to play that day, if not then def on Tuesday. Are you also going on Tuesday. I will be there Monday as well. Dani is usually scheduled on the grandstand unless she plays an American then she'll likely be at Armstrong. First time visiting the Open?

Hope you are able to get in before the bad weather starts, they are prediciting a nasty storm this weekend.

thanks :) you too!! yeah i only have tickets for monday, cos we are in ny with my whole family so i didn't want to go 2 days to the open.
last year i was there too and watched the men's final! it was amazing!!

Wozniacki and Azarenka top seeds in top half, Zvonareva and Sharapova top seeds in bottom half. Azarenka seeded to meet Serena in third round. No news on Daniela, as yet. She has, though, avoided Venus...

The way the USTA do the draw seems a little dubious. They hand the media and everyone also at the ceremony a draw with all the spots already filled except the seeded spots. Then they get a couple of famous faces to draw out the seeds into the remaining places.

Edit: Apparently Tennis Australia do it like this as well. Think it would be better though if the whole draw was done in front of an audience.

4R Wozniacki QF Li SF Azarenka or Serena This is according to tennisforum. If this is true that's a very good draw although we don't know who her 2nd round opponents could be.

1st round against Parmentier should be no problem for daniela.

I heard on the radio that the potential match between Serena and Azarenka would be on Saturday, so "Serena's half" of the draw must be starting on Tuesday.
