"Western & Southern Open". Odd name given that Cinicinnati is located neither in the West nor the South.

Given that Daniela is going to be unseeded and how many top players and here, the draw is going to be very important, even more so than usual.

Pretty decent draw. Daniela should be able to beat Dominguez Lino easily enough and neither Pavlyuchenkova or Pennetta are in outstanding form at the moment. They are the players that have beaten Daniela here the last two years so Revenge!

Excellent draw. Not only does Daniela have a decent first round, but she also, if she wins her opener, has a winnable second round. Not too many of the other 55 players will be able to say that.

And regarding "Western & Southern Open", I think they've just removed the 'Financial Group' bit to shorten the title.

If she's playing like post-FO and pre-Wimby well she can beat players until R2 then may face Bartoli which she have a good record then Vera wherein she still have a chance to beat her given that they have tight matches... all fingers crossed.. Dani you can do this.. For the USOpen!!! :twisted:

I'm just hoping Daniela's partner turns up this time. I think Sabine Lisicki will be a good partner for Daniela because Sabine can belt down huge serves so Daniela can have a lot of putaways at the net. Agnieszka's not in the doubles and I think Lisicki's going to be playing with Stosur at the US Open so this seems like it'll be temporary but we'll see how it goes.
