Great win again! It seems daniela has a good format in place for grass. This is the 4th tournament a row that daniela has won at least 2 matches. Pretty good! Keep it up daniela. Hopefully tomorrow there will be a stream.

Another good win by Daniela to continue her good run of form. She probably should have won more points on her second serve in the second set but overall Daniela played well again.

Hantuchova, the Slovakian fourth seed, continued to look impressive as she dropped only six games in a 6-4, 6-2 win over Alla Kudryavtseva in the first match of the day on Centre Court.
When asked what was the key to her win, the world No28 replied, "Like yesterday really, my serve was solid and I was really aggressive in my play.
"I feel great on grass right now, I didn't expect to be playing so well, I'm really happy so far."

In the last eight Hantuchova will play the 2010 semi-finalist Alison Riske after the American won a tight match against French eighth seed Aravane Rezai, winning 7-5, 6-7(6), 6-2.

Riske got to the the semi-final here last year beating Chakvetadze and Wickmayer and she won a set against Shazza in the semi. She also had a good run in the Nottingham ITF on grass last week so she's fairly decent on grass and has to be respected as an opponent. Riske hasn't done much else though. Daniela is playing well at the moment and should win this match easily enough but she still has to go out there and get the job done.

Hantuchova raised with the introduction to the grass season, great satisfaction. "I did not expect the first matches on grass from my side will be as good as the transition from clay does not live simple and the change is big. In Birmingham, I played great yet, I am not under any pressure . It is for me good preparation for Wimbledon. Cirsteovej against anti i Kudriavcevovej I served great, what was the basis for success, I play aggressive enough. Cirsteovej match against the rain stopped a few times and it was not easy to concentrate, but mentally I have managed very well," said Hantuchova, claiming that his quarterfinal rival RiskeovĂș an American in any case you can not afford to underestimate. "Mato Liptak, you went to see her struggle with Rezaiovou. When you wear a toy was able to overcome, certainly knows something and would be dangerous. If I succeed, I again play my game and be aggressive. "

Just to warn fellow fans that the forecast for Birmingham tomorrow is pretty ghastly.

At least Daniela's first on court. She should be in the best position if the schedule gets problematic

One thing to keep in mind is that two more wins would move Daniela up to 24th in the WTA rankings which would keep her away from a top eight seed in Wimbledon, at least until the round of 16.

Straight forward 2 & 4 win, well from what I can tell from a scoreboard at work. Lucic or 2nd seed Ivanovic await in the semi finals. Daniela has to feel confident after three straight sets wins of getting to the final here.

Great 1st set Daniela. But 2nd set Daniela was pretty awful after being 3-1 up in the 2nd. She did well to pick up again at the end, Daniela needs to stop having these 2nd set dips if she's to win the tournament here.

I watched the 2nd game live on tv and the 2nd set was really shaky for her.
but nice that she won it after down 3-4 on the 2nd.

Really wish she played well for the weekend! =)
