Daniela had a BP in that game but Lisicki held on a won the game with another ace. Lisicki is 15/16 on first serve but 3/9 on second serve at the moment.

Sabine's serve is on fire! 17/18 1st serve points won. Wowzah

EDIT: Not exactly encouraging how easily Sabine served out the first set either

First set to Lisicki 6-3 on an ace.

Daniela's serving first in the second so it's crucial that she holds here and puts pressure on Lisicki serving second.

Daniela has to get first serves in, she's only at 37% at the moment and facing 3BPs.

Good hold at the start of the second set. Daniela's first serve percentage for the 1st set was 40... she needs to improve on that. She's not going to get many chances to break Lisicki

Daniela had a wee bit of an opening in that last game but Lisicki held. Daniela has to win the points on Lisicki's second serve because Lisicki's first serve is on fire.

Good hold there by Daniela for 2-1, we'll see how Lisicki copes with serving second.

Shit, broken. It's going to be tough now the way Lisicki's been serving but her first serve percentage has been going down throughout the match. Daniela has to keep fighting and keep playing.

Broken at 2-2... Lisicki's 1st serve percentage has dropped off from the 1st set, so i wouldn't say Daniela's out of the hunt just yet

the eurosport commentator said that there is no broadcoast in birmingham today, cos there are going to eastbourne..

5-2 Lisicki. Daniela's been killed on second serve at 2/11 this set, Liscki's 8/11. One break was recoverable a double break will be really tough. Anyone got any gluten?

yeah

so match and title for lisicki... sad, but she was completely the better player today. really deserved. hope everything is ok with daniela... but a good tournament from daniela,congrats!!

BTW: today starts the ticketing for US Open, i will buy a ground pass, cos i'm in New York then :mrgreen:
