perfect start from Daniela! leading 3-0 and broke Schiavone twice

She's playing pretty good tennis so far, especially that awesome winner to 1-0 30-15 was impressive!

Relief to see her take the 1st set. Daniela really needs to get off to a good start at the start of the second to silence the crowd.

Daniela showed some promise towards the end of the 2nd set, but her play has certainly dropped off. This match seems to be playing out exactly as it did last year.

Garbin is certainly smug. Schiavone has realised she’s got to push Daniela way behind the baseline and that’s what she’s started doing. Daniela way behind the baseline, on clay, is a bad combination, and will only mean a win for Schiavone...
