just don't become desperate. Daniela's level isn't that high atm, but things can go better.
Some positive results may give her some confidence, so let's hope for a good performance in Pattaya.

Daniela's not on Monday's schedule.

I've got to believe that as long as Daniela plays reasonably well she should win. Whenever Nara's played any good player, she's usually been beaten fairly easily although she has taken sets from Kirilenko and Sevastova. Daniela's level should determine the match.

Jet lag and acclimatising to the conditions could be a problem as Daniela will have gone from the cold of Slovakia to the heat and humidity of Thailand without too much chance to rest or practice. A lot of other players like Zvonareva, Ivanovic and Kirilenko have been in Pattaya for a week.

Date Krumm's the likely second round opponent and she'd be a very difficult opponent as she's got a 100% record against Daniela and she's had a lot of very good wins in Asia since the US Open.

I'm just taking this one match at a time. Come on Daniela!

That's a good win by Daniela to get her season going. It'll give her a boost to win that easily.

She was totally dominant on serve in the first set but her serve wasn't quite as potent in the second as Nara got a break and Daniela didn't win as many points on serve although her returning was fantastic in the second (or Nara's serving was bad). It's good that jet lag didn't affect Daniela at all.

Date Krumm will be a much harder opponent but Daniela's got the day off tomorrow so she can rest and prepare.


"It wasn't easy. I just came from the winter in Europe, so I didn't know what to expect," Hantuchova said.

I was there. :D

The 1st win of the year ,the 1st time in Thailand and the 1st time I watch tennis live and Dani win the match :beer: :beer:

These results seem easy. But she did not play well as the results come out at all. If Dani has to play like this she can't to win over KDK :(

Then I saw her mother and Pat Etcheberry in player box not to see her coach there. (without her coach Dani can win the match ;) )
