Another great performance by Daniela. She is such a confidence player-after pulling out a nailbiting win over a top 20 player,there was always the chance that she was going to play lights out tennis in her next match. We now get a chance to see her play on TV!

And we seriously need a Youtube clip of Daniela's Mcenroe-style haranguing of the umpire. How bad must it be when someone as polite as Daniela tells Lynn Walsh "you are the worst umpire in the world?" :lol:

Have you seen the match?No,but I was following tweets from the FortyDeuce blogger,who is in San Diego and happens to be a big fan of Daniela's. It's worth following her blog,as she appears to be developing an infatuation with Carlos! :lol:

Not sure what I love more, Daniela pounding Zheng or giving it to Lynn Welsh who is as bad at her job as anyone else is at any job anywhere in the world.

In the US, Tennis Channel covers the first QF only and ESPN2 has the primetime match, so she won't be on television here. ESPN2 does have a four hour block reserved in primetime, so I imagine they would show one match live and burn the rest of the time on the best of the other quarterfinal matches. But that would be on tape delay, of course.

A really good win by Daniela against a potentially tricky opponent but Daniela just thrashed Zheng. Looking at the stats, Daniela seems to have done everything well, she came through on the important points, especially on the BPs she faced and she returned serve well (or Zheng's serve wasn't very good). Daniela built on her win against Bartoli win a really good performance with no let downs or slumps. This is great.

Winning such a tough match against Bartoli seems to have given Daniela a big surge of confidence. I also feel that having a bit of rest after Wimbledon has rejuvenated her and not playing doubles here seems to give her a bit more energy and let her be more focused on singles. Anger also focuses the mind.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.
