One interesting tactic I think Daniela is doing is mixing the pace of the 1st serves. In the 1st set she was serving 160kmh and now in the 2nd set 175kmh was her fastest. I think it adds a fear factor against the opponent.

YES YES YES!!! Thrilling match with a perfect end. Daniela played some really good points, especially when facing the three breakpoints in the second set.

btw: so great that Eurosport showed the match, I had my TV in the garden

and I also recorded the match from 5-5, if somebody wants to watch it again, I can upload it.

Not looking too far ahead but if she were to reach the quarters, her quarter-final opponents would be either Groth or Shvedova, that's definitely winnable, but obviously her next match will be extremely tough whatever...
