Daniela can finally get her Roland Garros campaign under way, although it only seems like a long wait because Roland Garros starts on a Sunday while all the other slams start on Monday. It'll be good for Daniela to get the first match under her belt.

Doubles isn't too bad for the first round although the second round looks like it could be tough. You want a lot of time to work on a nickname.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

I'm fricking nervous about tomo. I hate 1st rounds at GS's. Double duty tomo is actually quite good providing she wins both. It'll mean she'll have Wednesday completely free to train relax etc. Tanasugarn will get lots of balls back...daniela must be patient and then go for the power shots at the right time. Hope she can win easily so not to waste too much energy in these early rounds. Good luck daniela we love ya whatever the result.x

Surprised to see Daniela on court 2. Good that there'll probably be a stream though. Hopefully we'll see a return to form!

Bookmakers have Daniela at about an 11 to 1 favorite for tomorrow, which is huge. Only Henin and Wickmayer (against a nobody) are bigger favorites on the women's side.

... Tanasugarn will get lots of balls back...daniela must be patient and then go for the power shots at the right time. ...

If she were just able to do that, she should have won many matches before. About today's match, I feel Daniela does have a chance in this match. Tanasugarn has a very strange game and is an experienced player. You can never underestimate her. Moreover, we know Daniela's luck. She used to meet those under-ranked players in the first rounds of the Slams who happened to play really well after a long time playing like craps and continued to play like craps after that Slam. So let's just wait and see what happens on court.

1ST SET: 6-1 :D

Tanasugarn held to 15 and then Daniela closed the set also to 15 with 3 great serves.
Daniela had 56% of 1st serves, 3 aces, 1DF, 14W and 8UE against 27% of 1st serves, 0aces, 2DF, 2W and 5UE by Tanasugarn.

keep the low UE dani :)

anyway this was just posted at RG website at the segment: "as it happens"

"Daniela Hantuchova also leads 5-0 over Tammie Tanasugarn. Dani Hani – all the skill in the world, but she never seems to have been able to take the step up, particularly in terms of gutsing out tough wins. Psychologically fragile. I’d love her to go deep at this tournament though as she deserves a good run somewhere."

Daniela broke and leads 1-0 in the 2nd set

Tanasugarn is playing quite bad and Hantuchova had a couple of very ugly errors but her service is rocking today, and making some good choices :D
