I'm a little concerned that she hasn't blogged for a while. She's been very good at keeping her fans up to date with what's happening with her this year, even when things haven't gone so well(see Indian Wells).

I find the prolonged period of silence troubling. I do hope everything's alright with her.

I agree with Benji. Her last report was a commercial one (Prince related)... Hope she is ok and not too discouraged by this loss... A boost by Cahill would be nice ;)

I really think that these last couple of tournaments are nothing to worry about. Against Schiavone and Pav she had heaps of chances but didn't take them. Unfortunately her opponents took their chances.

She is winning over 75% of 1st serve points these days which is very very promising, and she's created 8 break points against Pav, but only converted 1/8.

That's the only problem. If you don't convert you don't win.

I'm sure we'll see some great results soon, we and she(!) needs to be patient.

+ Dani played on a very cold day. It's too cold to play tennis these days in Madrid.

Also, many top players lost early. Dementieva just lost to Dulgheru.

Disappointing is a word i've used a little too often recently to describe Daniela's play of late. Argh. Hopefully she can gain some points at RG. She's basically not taking her opportunities. 1/8 break point chances is pretty poor and she achieved similar mediocre stats against Schiavone. It's probably looking like a mistake not playing Warsaw now. She's got a sizeable gap between now and RG and is probably unconfident considering recent performances. Here's to hoping we don't see another first round loss in a couple of weeks.

Well, maybe she'll surprise us in a good way at RG, but to be honest, I find myself caring less and less as time goes by. I wish her the best, because she really seems like a nice person, but I'm ready to move on. There are other players out there who are much better at taking the chances they get, and who don't keep making the same bad choices again and again and again......

Common guys. Keep believing. We should cherish the years we have left with daniela as a tennis player.
