This tournament always has a good taste in wildcards!
Well with the withdrawel of Serena, Dinara and Maria the seeded entry is certainly weaker, but obviously this is basically a grand slam entry list and there are plenty of challenging players that don't even get a seeding.
I don't hold too many high expectations given that Daniela usually struggles here but maybe after falling early in Indian Wells she'll be high on motivation to do well here. We'll just have to wait and see what the draws like but I still believe she is capable of causing some damage if she wins her opening match and gets herself into the middle stages of the tournament.

A pretty long list, but I hope Daniela avoids these players in the second round:
Kirilenko, Pavlyuchenkova, Suarez Navarro, Hercog, Chakvetadze, Martic, Molik.

I would quite like to see her play Vinci again, but maybe that's asking for trouble...

Henin will be seeded because they will use the rankings from this coming Monday to make the draw, right?

As far as I know, Henin is a WC... So, no raking for her at Miami, since I think the seeding is done before IW

Will be nice to see Heather Watson in Miami, from a British point of view, but as for Daniela, this tournament has always been tricky for her as her record here shows, so I have no expectations, just hope she's recovered fully from her back injury and can put in a good performance or two.

Bad tradition on this tournament. She never managed to pass the 3rd round. Anyway, good luck girl.

I think she is playing doubles here (maybe not with Vesnina).
I heard that Davenport is thinking playing doubles with Daniela when she come back.

But I prefer her to team up Kirilenko or Pennetta.

I really do not have any expectation with this tournament considering her poor record here. I suggest Daniela take this as a chance to practice and recover her injury.

I'm not wildly optimistic about Daniela's prospects here as she's got a terrible record in Miami plus we don't know how fit she'll be after she hurt her back at Indian Wells. The windy and humid conditions in Miami don't suit her game. Hopefully she gets a decent draw and she's able to put a run together. Right now, I'd be okay with Daniela winning a match or two and not aggravating her back but it would be great if Daniela could go on a run here.

But a QF run here will be perfect! She just need some luck here!

Her ranking go down again: 25 with 1995 points.
She has nothing to defend until Wimbledon. So, It's perfect time to enter Top 20.

I hope she can manage a couple of wins, though :)

Draw is out:
R2: Schnyder or Srebotnik (not bad)
R3: Petrova (most likely)/Chackvetadze/Date Krumm
R4: Venus :|

Schnyder has always been a tough opponent for Daniela, Srebotnik might be easier.

It's a pretty decent draw as Daniela's got a great record against both Schnyder (at least in recent years, Daniela's won 6 of the last 7) and Srebotnik, who Daniela's always beaten. Neither of them are in good form. The third round is pretty reasonable as well, as all the potential opponents - Petrova, Date Krumm & Chakvetadze - are beatable although they all beat Daniela in the last match against her. I usually say I'm taking it one match at a time and this especially applies in Miami given her record here and we don't know how her back is. Daniela's got a decent draw this year so we'll see what happens.

Henin v Dementieva in the second round, assuming Henin beats Craybas.
