It is most certainly over now. I can't say that Dani deserved to win it. A very poor showing indeed. AP did play some amazing shots. Again I must say that if AP is the future of women's tennis my interest in the sport will diminish greatly.

AP played way above her head the last two sets, but Daniela was pretty close to pathetic. It's hard to even call this tournament a success as other than the win over Cibulkova, the other wins were all cupcakes.

Well that last set must have just been a blur for Daniela.
All I can say is that Anastasia beat Venus Williams twice towards the end of last year in consecutive weeks so its not exactly the most shameful of losses.

I was thinking about that earlier. She's had some finals where she has been the clear underdog (like Zurich 2006), so I don't think its too bad a record. Not as bad as Schiavone's at least...
