Nice down-the-line forehand by Daniela. Her Ad. Hopefully she can hold.

OH YOU'RE KIDDING!

PETROVA SCORES A NETCORD AND NOW IT'S HER AD!

UGH!

EDIT: Petrova has the break. She's 6-5 up. So unfortunate.

Argh. That's very irritating. Daniela really got herself back into this match and was playing good tennis. It's so frustrating to see it almost entirely decided by that net cord. I would have fancied Daniela's chances if she'd managed to hold at 5-5. But regardless, she's did pretty well to hold off those previous set points and she managed to take a set off Petrova after starting the match pretty poorly. Positives to be taken, but it's a tough loss to stomach nonetheless.

I just got to see Petrova celebrating at the end, although that was more relief than anything. Given what people have said, it seems Petrova had all the luck especially on netcords, notably at 5-5 in the third and with every point at that stage being so crucial, that really hurt Daniela. I can take a loss when the other player is better, it's so much harder to take when Daniela plays well but the other player is luckier.

I really don't know what else to say. Hopefully Daniela can stay strong and play well in Linz and Luxembourg.

Oh that's so sad! It would have been amazing if she would have won. But to be honest, it's maybe better for her not to play Serena. I left at 4-1 in the first set and I didn't think Danka could make it that competitive. It's a shame she lost, but I hope she can score some good results in Linz and Luxembourg.

That must have been close. Good to see that Daniela managed to come back after the first set. Also good fight in the third with a break down.

The only good thing is now, Daniela has enough time to recover and get ready for Linz next week. I'm already looking forward to watching her live. :D
