Great to see that she got one of the 17-24 seedings, thanks to her solid results in the past weeks. Well that means she will draw someone seeded 9-16 in the 3R:

#9: WOZNIACKI, Caroline DEN
#10: PENNETTA, Flavia ITA
#11: IVANOVIC, Ana SRB
#12: RADWANSKA, Agnieszka POL
#13: PETROVA, Nadia RUS
#14: BARTOLI, Marion FRA

#16: CIBULKOVA, Dominika SVK

I really hope she draws Radwanska, Petrova or Cibulkova. The advantage of drawing someone between #9-#12 would be that she would avoid playing a Top 4 Player in the last 16. Anyway, I hope for a good draw, she could really gain some points with a good draw, I just hope she gets a decent first round and won't show up in a same way she did the past few years.

Hopefully she won't draw Clijsters or Szavay :( but I fear she will get a tricky opponent. Great 2 see that she isn't playing New Haven (altough the field is quiet bad for a Premier Event), so she has enough preparation for the US Open and we (hopefully) won't see a fatigue-blow-out à la Shvedova.

Between 2002 & 2005, Daniela won more matches at the US Open than at any other slam and it's about time that Daniela has another run there.

Being seeded 23rd is fine, and hopefully Daniela avoids any dangerous floaters and gets a decent draw. Most of the potential 3rd round opponents are pretty decent matchups for her and are a lot better than the top 8, although Daniela's got to get to the third round first.
The most important thing is that Daniela turns up ready and prepared.

Shazza's ranked 30 after her run in Canada so that removes a very dangerous floater from Daniela's path.

So that now makes Razzano a potential third round opponant :roll:
Not easy opponants in my oppinion, but Daniela will have to get to the third round first, which won't be an easy feat going by the last couple of years.
The only player I would like to see Daniela draw for the R32 is Radwanska. Petrova is out of form but I wouldn't feel confident about a match-up between her and Daniela. As for the likes of Wozniacki and Pennetta; I think they will both have far too much game for Daniela by the time the third round comes about (supposing Daniela gets there).

Me too... Especially the bold ones are worrying me. But honestly i couldn't stop laughing if she would draw Clijsters, it just would be too much :) I was very surprised that she didn't draw her at Cincy and Toronto ;)

Well not a bad draw at all really, Shaughnessy will be tough as will be a bit of an unknown quantity, but has been out of the game for a few years until recently. Should Daniela win that ominous 1st round, I fancy her chances against Bacinsky/Q. Beating Stosur will be very tough, but there's a chance she might not get there...and then Serena 4R again... :x Anything after 3rd round will be fantastic! And would put Daniela back in top 20.
