Ouch, good first round draw, but after that not so much with Serena laying in wait in the 2nd round, hopefully she can come through Shvedova and at least make a fight of it against Serena, and with her new found confidence which she must have gleaned from Cincy there is no reason Daniela can't push Serena close or even cause a shock

Oh dear Daniela was 4-2 up and now is two points away from losing the 1st set ... Danka saves a set point and holds...5-5, 5-6, 6-6

Hope it has to do with being tired and not that her tennis hasnt improved as much as we thought... I only saw the pennetta match, in which she was terrible

So Daniela lost. Don't know what was going on with her today. No tie-break strenght anymore. Although they just played two sets, the match lasted 2h21min !!
Now she can focus on the US Open. Hope she can show a better performance in NY.
