Facing Oudin in round 1 certainly gives Daniela a better chance of reaching round 2, but at the same time, its still not an easy opponant. Oudin has been playing really well since bursting onto the scene and beat Bartoli and Jankovic at The Championships. Further, shes come through qualifying this week which means she'll be match-tight and confident, especially against a player of Daniela's nature. Daniela can definately win this one, but she'll have to play well, and not just rely on Oudin to make mistakes. The American hits hard, goes for lines, and has quite a high success rate doing this.

Doubles draw is out. Daniela and Ai face wildcards in the opening round:

Daniela plays both the first and last match of the day, singles and doubles respectively, on court 4 tomorrow.

As far as I know, there are no live streams available.

Daniela appears to be cruising now, leading 3-0* in the deciding set having taken the second set 6-2 (with four breaks of serve to two).

Congrats Daniela ! Like in Miami a few months ago, Dani lost a tight first set
and won the next two comfortably. Safina will be tough but you never know...

Good win after a very tight first set. All in all I think Daniela has to improve a lot to have a chance against Safina (although I don't know if it was Oudin playing well or Daniela making a lot of errors).

Hope for good fight against the number 1. After such a long match it will also be a physical challenge for Daniela next round.
