0-1 - Daniela got broken right on the start of the match :/
0-2 - Love game to Dementieva
0-3 - Daniela got broken again . 2 moonballs from Daniela that Dementieva attacked down the line and won both points . it looks bad at the moment
0-4 - A nice game from Daniela . almost no errors and some good winners but at #3 Deuce Dementieva won the game
0-5 - Daniela got broken again despite being 40-0 up but Dementieva was lucky in some returns ..
1-5 - Daniela breaks Dementieva in a game that Dementieva made 2DF (one on BP to give Daniela the game)
2-5 - Love game to DANIELA
2-6 - Daniela had a BP and then a great chance of having another on deuce but she made an UE and next Daniela's return to Dementieva's serve went to the net giving Dementieva the 1st set , 6-2 in 42minutes

Lets all hang in there. she was like 12 points sdown in points won, now 8 down and has been holding her own lately - now 5-2 in first set.

2nd set (Daniela to serve)

1-0 - A nice service game from Daniela losing just one point
1-1 - Unlucky Daniela . In a point that she was absolutely in control a ball from Dementieva hits the net and Daniela misses the ball, Dementieva won the game to 15.
2-1 - Love game to Daniela

2-2 - Daniela had BP but Dementieva saved it .
2-3 - Daniela saved 2BP but was broken in the 3rd
3-3 - Daniela broke back at her 4th BP in this service game.
4-3 - Daniela holds to 15
4-4 - Love game to Dementieva
4-5 - Daniela got broken , Dementieva serving for the match

Dementieva eventually breaks through, despite Daniela hanging tough at 0-15, 15-30 and 40-A. Hopefully Daniela can break the Russian's serve straight away and get back in this set. Dementieva's serve is still an issue despite the massive improvements made over the past two years. I really hope this isn't going to be a 6-2 6-2 defeat...

Great point from Daniela to take a 30-15 lead on Dementieva's serve. Its followed by a double-fault from the world number four and now Daniela has two break points...
... Dementieva saves both break points and now has deuce on serve.

A forehand error from Elena gives Daniela her third break point of this game...
... High-quality drop-shot from Dementieva saves the break point and once again its deuce...

Slow start from Daniela. But then she find her rythm - too late for the first set.
Second set was close. Many chances for Danka, but she didn't take the big points.
All in all a good performance, but not enough against Elena.

Good couple of wins, and a not so unexpected defeat by a top top player, good start to the hard court swing for Daniela and hope she can build on this

This is disappointing right now as Daniela had a slow start and gave Dementieva a double break lead before she got going and the rest of the set was competitive but Dementieva had too big a lead and won the crucial points in the next few games. For the rest of the match Daniela played well, her groundstrokes were good and she dictated a lot of the play and broke back right away when Dementieva broke. Unfortunately, she had a little lapse at the end of the second set and Dementieva took advantage.

A win against one of the top players would give Daniela so much confidence. For a lot of the match Daniela was competitive with Dementieva and was matching her shot for shot but a few points here and there made the difference. Daniela showed that her skill and talent is a match for anyone but she couldn't maintain her top level throughout the match. Daniela can take a lot from this tournament as she beat the defending champion, came from behind to beat a top 20 player and gave one of the top players a good game.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Actually this has been a great run considering what happened in the second round:

In other second-round matches Thursday, Agnieszka Radwanska outlasted Daniela Hantuchova 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 6-1
