Thanks for the link! It looks great...
Serena with 3 unreturned serves... 2-5
Set for serena 6-3... one break made the difference. Serena serving amazing when she needed to.

Broken to love 0-1 Daniela not going for shots, just getting the ball back. Wouldnt hurt to try things, danka, nothing to lose
0-2... daniela must hold now, hasnt won a point since last set

Im afraid to say that Daniela has lost all confidence by the looks of things. I was thinking to myself during the 1st set when the last time it was that I had seen Daniela hitting so cleanly and so well, but still Serena just has too much for her and takes the set fairly comfortably. Daniela has done well just now to come from 0-40 down to bring it back to duece and now the crowd, which was against her against Robson, seems to be getting behind her now. Hopefully Daniela can hold here...saying that she flies another one long, the errors starting to come more regularly, this isnt really a case of Daniela throwing it away, its just a case of Serena being too good and zapping the confidence right out of Daniela...double fault and thats now a double break and a set down. Game over Im afraid

Serena went on a run of 15 straight points from the end of the first set into the second set, and Daniela seemed to lose alot of confidence in her groundstrokes. She was actually playing ok (by her standards) prior to that run of points, but Serena has just been substantially better throughout the match. It seemed to be going ok when Daniela broke back to trail *2-3 in the first set but Serena broke again and from there it has been 100% Williams. A *4-1 double-break lead in the second set for the American now.

Although Daniela lost her match today, I think she can take a lot of positive things form that GS.
Today she wasn't 100% and everybody could see this. Moreover Serena was just too strong and didn't make lots of errors.

I'm quite confident that Daniela will play a good hardcourt season.

Daniela couldve made it competitive when gaining a bit of momentum whe she broke with good clean shots in th 1st. But then serena geared up and danka had no response whatsoever... Serena played calmed, serving and returning perfectly.

Good thing is that daniela didnt play horrible, but not near good enough to do some damage to serena...

I just wish Daniela's body language was a bit more boisterous, serena played awesome, but didnt really need to crank it up to much a gear. Daniela didn't mix up her shots at all, in fact i don't remember one single drop shot which is a real shame.

Serena has a hold on Daniela which means that Daniela stifles herself and cannot play freely...

This is a shame. Daniela started the match well and had some nice winners but Serena played very well and her power wore Daniela down.

Daniela's energy went way down in the second set as the effects of the flu told as she was more sluggish moving around and her shots didn't have the potency they had in the first set. Serena was also blasting huge serves and groundstrokes and was moving Daniela around so that tired Daniela out some more. Against Zheng and Ai, Daniela was dictating the points so she wasn't expanding as much energy. In this match she faced far more power and had to run around a lot so that used up her depleted fitness.

Overall, this has been a good tournament for Daniela as she came through three tricky matches and played well. She'll be back in the top 30 and she'll have a lot of points to gain in the hardcourt season. If she'd been fully healthy then she would have been more competitive in this match and would have been able to go on a good run in the doubles.

Daniela can have a well earned rest and get well and she can have a lot of confidence and momentum for the rest of the season.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.
