well they're still in the draws...it seems like Dani cant do that to Sugi...
Hope they can play good tennis later....
for her rest, she can rest after the game and a whole day on sunday...right?

Argh!

Trust my busiest time of year to roll around when Daniela is getting some of her better results - i've barely seen any of her Wimbledon games

.. Ah well. As long as she's winning i guess i don't really mind. If someone had of gave me a 4th round finish at Wimbledon i would have been entirely satisfied. I don't think many of us give Daniela much of a chance against Serena, especially given that she might be (or is) sick, but i wouldn't give anyone in the draw much of a chance against Serena, except for maybe Venus haha.

It'd be fantastic to see Daniela play some great tennis against Serena. I think she owes it to herself to put in a good performance and by all accounts she should.

Hantuyama lead 5-3, but couldn't get a (break)setpoint. Now Daniela to serve, please finish the set! 15-0, 15-15 , 30-15 ,40-15 and they took the first set 6 -4 :mrgreen:

Now 2-2 in second set. Everyone holds her service game
they couldn't convert 2 breakpoints, so 3-4 down
puh they could fend 2 breakpoints and daniela hold serve to 4-4

It's a shame that Hantuyama lost but you felt that if they didn't win in straight sets it would be really hard to win as Daniela is sick and would start to feel the strain in the third set. This is a match I'm sure that Daniela and AI would have won if Daniela had been healthy. I just hope that this didn't take too much out of Daniela and that she can feel better for monday.

Shame about the doubles defeat and I echo the sentiment that I hope it hasnt taken too much out of Daniela for her match up tomorrow, she'll get an extra couple of hours to prepare and hopefully feel better come tomorrow's match seeing as she has played first on court in her three previous rounds, probably wont make that much of a difference but every little helps.

Tomorrow I dont hold any expectations, as is always the case against the Williams sisters, I just hope Daniela does her best and what will be will be.

She played three convincing matches. I am sure she can win and she has a revenge to take against Serena in Wimbledon. Serena doesn't have any injury this time, so it would be fantastic that Dani wins today.
