Ordina Open on TV

This year, the Ordina Open will be extensively broadcasted on television.
The Dutch television station NOS will pay attention to the tournament everyday in its sports news and broadcast the women’s and men’s finals live on Saturday.
For the first time the event can be seen on RTLZ television from Monday 16th to Friday 20th of June. Every hour of the day RLZ switches over to the Ordina Open for live updates in which, besides live images, attention will be paid to interviews and background coverage.
Omroep Brabant, the regional television station of the Dutch province Noord-Brabant, will also pay attention to the tournament in an Ordina Open newscast.

This is a tournament where Daniela can do well. The field isn't the strongest and Daniela's seeded which helps. Safina's the only top 10 player here and she's done well here in the past although you wonder what effect the Roland Garros final had on her. Dominika and Pennetta don't have particularly great grass records.

Daniela can beat anyone here but there are are some potentially dangerous players here and quite a few players who will feel they can beat her. Safina's no 1 and Dominika and Cirstea will have momentum after their runs at Roland Garros plus there are tricky players like Groenefeld and defending champion Tanasugarn in the draw. We'll have to see what the draw is and also what Daniela's level is but hopefully Daniela does well here and goes into Wimbledon with some wins and confidence.

Hopefully a good run here will give her some decent form heading into Wimbledon. What are Daniela's prospects of being seeded in England?

So, Vinci, Bondarenko and Safina... I know Dinara is no good on grass, what about Vinci or Kateryna?

Hope danka can find some form here... Fingers crossed :)

Daniela should justify her seeding here, but a player like K.Bondarenko is always dangerous. The Ukranian did well on the grass of Birmingham last year, and could make a good run here aswell. It will be interesting to see how Safina plays after that tough loss to Kuznetsova in the RG final. Obviously if Safina goes out early then Daniela is the class player in the top half of the draw and would surely be confident of getting a few wins ahead of Wimbledon. However, if Safina is good enough to get the the quarters then she will surely be good enough to beat Daniela. With this in mind, I think we can only expect a quarter-final finish at best, unless Safina is upset in the early rounds and Daniela manages to overcome Bondarenko in round 2.

well Safina isn't the best on grass. If I remember correctly (after being at work for 13 hours and drinking for 3) Safina has yet to beat a seeded player in Wimbledon. Grass really is the place to beat Safina. But crappy draw. Why did she had to draw the only top10?

If I remember correctly (after being at work for 13 hours and drinking for 3)I've been drinking for about 8 hours now and remember nothing about Safina.
And 13 hours at work... brrrrrr, I hope they pay you well enough.
