The draw seems favorable and I hope she can at least have one win at Rome.

She really need a seeding for RG.

Winnable first round match. But against Kuznetsova will be tough. We can hope Kuznetsova gets far in Stuttgart and is tired for her match against Danka.

I think we have to be quite happy with that draw. First round should be a win for Daniela hopefully. Against Kuznetsova will be tough, but not impossible. Hope for at least won win in Rome and therefor some points for the ranking.

I think Dushevina will be tough, she plays similar to Zvonareva...

Daniela gets 60 points for one win and 110 for two wins. Of course, she has 0 to defend. She probably needs around 100 points between here and Madrid to ensure seeding for Roland Garros. So, she's actually in pretty good shape in that regard.

This isn't such a bad draw. The two seeded players in her section are both in the semi's at Stuttgart, so they could be tired. But she still needs to get past Dushevina, who is a reasonably good player.

Daniela needs 2 wins here though to move up in the rankings (all things being equal). If I'm not mistaken, her 16th best result is Sydney which gave her 60 points, so 1 win here wouldn't give her more points in terms of rankings. She would need to get 2 wins to get an extra 50 points added onto her ranking. Though I could be wrong :?

You're right. I forgot the new rule has 16 and not 17 tournaments counting toward the rankings. Her last couple of spots are 60-pointers, so that's what she has to work off of for a while.

daniela played well against safina.
is in good form and way.as someone said(i think krima),this coach changes are paying well
from passo's face i trust him.
wont be surprize if reaches semis here
little more improvement in footwork something very doable with passos and will win titles this year
her serve is ok with more variety, her second still predictable but much better than previous years.
go danka :slovakia:
about ranks her 16th is olympics 56,since has 0 points for clay whatever points gains is double profit
i am expecting top-20 entry after french open

I'm so fed-up with all these Russians... zzzzz.....
Dushevina is a winnable match, but not so sure about Kuznetsova. She seems to be playing pretty well and beat Dementieva today so I think one win is the best we can expect from Daniela. Even if she does manage a win against Kuznetsova she would probably go on to play Pennetta, who is in very good form too (and beat Jankovic yesterday), so its not a great draw in my oppinion. If she had to play a top-8 seed in the second round I would have preferred it to have been Ivanovic or Petrova, but I guess we can't be too picky since Daniela isn't even seeded at these events anymore, and we can be relieved that she hasn't drawn one of the Williams' sisters, Safina or Azarenka.
Interesting that Jankovic and Cornet are in the same section. One of them is going to lose alot of points next week since Jankovic was the winner last year and Cornet a finalist.

agree with danielitsa. I like Passos too. He has that look on his face when she plays and when they talked after the fed cup match. I really believe in him and that he can have as much success with Danka as the Casal academy and as he had with Paszek some years ago.

BTW, Doubles draw is out. Teaming with Ai they are seeded 5. First round vs Caro and Husarova. Possible QF against Black and Huber

1/1 breaks for danka but enough to take first set, without facing a bp
high percentage in 1st and 2nd serve
nice start in 2nd with break

Wow! I had no idea that this tournament was starting so early... Quite surprised to see that Daniela is playing right now!

She's won the first set (6-4) and is a break up in the second (1-0)
