With the exception of the wildcards, Daniela is the lowest ranked player at the tournament this year. Hopefully she can get at least one win. Obviously its not going to be easy due to the quality of the entry list but a good draw could see her get a win or two. If she draws one of the top seeds in the opening round then not alot can be expected. I just hope she can take some confidence from the Fed Cup into next week and start the red clay season well.
No Williams' sisters and no Ivanovic, which I suppose is something.

She withdrew from the Fed Cup, so yes, I doubt she is going to play. At the moment though she is still on the entry list, although that may just be because it hasn't been updated recently.

The Draw's out. Why am I not surprised she's playing Cornet AGAIN!?!?!? LOL. Fourth time this year already!
Not too bad of a draw I guess, considering the strength of the field, and hopefully she carries on her winning ways against Cornet.

well any draw would have been tough as almost all players in the field are ranked above her. So drawing Cornet as the first round opponent is one of the better draws actually. It will be tough, but it is winnable, as we saw yesterday. Good luck Daniela.

I really hope that Hantuyama do well here after the poor results at the last tournaments .

Daniela had a good win against Cornet in the Fed Cup so she'll have confidence she can do it again and played very well against Mauresmo while Cornet has had a few tough losses recently. I still think it'll be a close match as the last four have all been three setters. Whoever wins the second set has always won the previous matches. If Daniela can maintain her level then she's got a very good chance.

Hopefully Hantuyama can put a good run together.

I'll be away until the middle of next month and I don't think I'll be online or able to follow tennis till then. Good luck Daniela for all the forthcoming tournaments.

Shock horror, its cornet again, but after yesterday she has to be confident of winning this match up.
